Conclusion

            We were able to interview Frank and Michael Matrisciano and were able to thoroughly review and analyze the information systems use within Lawns Unlimited LLC. While Analyzing Lawns Unlimited LLC our team was able to observe 2 information systems that could use updating and fixing. Lawns Unlimited is outdated when it comes to it social media usage. Also we noticed many information silos within Lawns Unlimited software components. We came to the conclusions that with the following recommendations Lawns Unlimited would greatly benefit. For Social media it could be beneficial for them to hire a younger employee who is looking to get into the business, and is enthusiastic but still keeps up with the social media world. Right Now we Realize that Lawns Unlimited is on Facebook and Instagram but are not using it to their advantage because it is not a top priority. However if they hire someone part time to update social media sites weekly then Lawns Unlimited may gain more customers as everything becomes more technologically advanced. Also It may be costly to pay a company such as Caspio for their Database services but information silos waste time and can cost a company profit. Caspio is the best bet in allowing Lawns Unlimited to create a custom cloud database with them to organize all their data in one place and address the information silo problem.

           

            From analyzing Lawns Unlimited LLC we were able to learn a number of things. First we learned most businesses revolve around information systems. No Matter what department it is there is a information system to support it. Also we realized that data security is important problems such as lost and stolen information can be costly to a company. Social media was also part of the learning experience because we analyze how social media could be positive and negative. Social media can attract and keep customers, but bad reviews could also do harm to a company's reputation. Furthermore information silos can negative effect a business if the flows of communication throughout different departments are not smooth. This could cost a company money and time. Lawns Unlimited has an opportunity to become more organized with a unified database and also grow their customer clientele with more efficient social usage. These could be competitive advantages for Lawns Unlimited in the future allowing them to be timely and effective.
